A Lasting Power of Attorney, or LPA, is a legal document that allows you to appoint one or more people to make decisions on your behalf during your lifetime, giving you peace of mind that there is someone you trust to look after your affairs if you become unable to do so yourself. There are two forms of LPAs available - one for Property & Financial Affairs (LPA PA) and one for Health & Welfare (LPA HW) - with most people choosing both types of LPA to ensure complete protection of both your property and money in addition to decisions surrounding their healthcare, medical treatment and living arrangements.

Without an LPA in place, there is no one with the legal authority to manage your affairs, and your family or loved ones must go through a complex and expensive legal process to be able to make decisions for you. It's also not possible to create an LPA once you are unable to make your own decisions, so if you think you would like an LPA, it's something that you should consider putting in place as soon as possible.

Why choose Enfortro?

At Enfortro, we are here to help with all aspects of creating a Lasting Power of Attorney, from choosing an attorney and deciding what type of LPA is right for you, to correctly registering the documentation. We provide an efficient and straightforward service without legal jargon or complexity for a reasonable fixed fee, giving you total peace of mind for the future.

What do Lasting Power of Attorney documents cost?

At Enfortro Wills & Estate Planning, our fees are as follows:

  • For an individual Lasting Power of Attorney document, the cost is £249.99

  • For two Lasting Power of Attorney documents, the cost is £479.99

  • For a couple's package of four Lasting Power of Attorney documents, the cost is £849.99

There is typically also a small additional fee of £82 made payable to the Office of the Public Guardian for registering your document, but here at Enfortro we cover this cost within our above fees to make the process as simple as possible for you.

In the last few years, the adequacy of will writing and estate planning services has received significant scepticism due to some companies charging extortionate fees, creating documents which were not legally binding or even losing documents despite being paid a fee for secure storage. At Enfortro, we are completely committed to your satisfaction as a fully qualified and insured will writing and estate planning service provider. We promise to, at all times, act in your best interests, provide a proper standard of service, and behave in a way which maintains your ongoing trust.
